Test user program
JHPC-quantum
Purpose of the Test User Program
-
Collect evaluation results and user feedback on the quantum–HPC integrated platform and its software, and utilize them to improve and advance the platform
-
Identify and promote promising applications leveraging quantum–HPC integration
-
Foster the early development of a user community around the quantum–HPC integrated platform
Program Flow
Requirements for Use
-
Applicants must act as test users of the integrated software, i.e., must use the provided software.
-
The intended use of the integrated software must be clearly defined, and the necessary preparations must be in place.
-
The project duration should be within approximately 12 months. (*If an MOU is not executed within six months after selection, the selection may be rendered invalid.)
Approach to Intellectual Property
-
Intellectual Property Solely Owned by the Test User
- Algorithms and software executed or developed on the hybrid platform
- Input data and output data used for execution and development
- Research results and know-how -
Information Jointly Handled by the Test User and the Project
- Overview of the proposed theme (limited to information that can be disclosed)
- Data related to the usage of the hybrid platform (e.g., execution time, job waiting time, and other execution logs)
- Information on issues and improvement items related to the hybrid platform identified through usage
*Information jointly handled will be shared with NEDO, the commissioning organization, including the name of the institution, an overview of the algorithms/software, and progress information.
In addition, although not mandatory, participants may be requested to allow publication of certain information as project achievements. -
Intellectual Property Solely Owned by the Project
- The hybrid platform and software newly developed under this project
- Technologies related to functional and performance improvements of the hybrid platform based on usage results
- Background technologies (technologies belonging to the quantum computers and HPC systems used)
Approach to Presenting Results
-
Application for Presenting Results
As with standard NEDO project result presentations, please submit an application in advance. The NEDO project team will review and approve the application and subsequently report it to NEDO. However, presentations that pertain solely to intellectual property owned exclusively by external collaborators will be handled independently and outside the scope of NEDO procedures.
-
Acknowledgments
For presentations handled in accordance with NEDO project result procedures, please include an acknowledgment of NEDO’s support.
